About me

Christine Glover
SRN, RMN, Med Cont ED

I am a qualified EMDR therapist with over thirty years experience of working with people undergoing physical issues, mental health difficulties, including  problems with drugs & alcohol.

After completing my general and mental health nurse training many years ago I worked with adolescents and with people experiencing a wide range of mental health problems. Whilst working as a general nurse I found it fascinating that physical problems very often had their origins in psychological issues. That fascination has stayed with me over all these years and the desire to alleviate pain and suffering, remains with me and was the prime driver in training to become an EMDR therapist. I worked with people experiencing drug and alcohol problems for many years and the evidence would suggest that up to ninety percent of people misusing drugs and or alcohol have a traumatic past and are therefore suffering psychological pain. I have worked in several senior management roles in the NHS.

I later gained a Masters in Continuing Education and and have worked as a Lecturer/Practitioner and continue to run a training and consultancy practice. Throughout all of the roles I have always worked clinically. It is this work that still fascinates me.

“The correlation between physical and psychological issues is something that has always fascinated me”
